![]() SEABOARD CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC., owns and operates two borrow pits and two inert landfills in convenient locations that supply our projects with reasonably priced material and haul costs. The Asphalt Plant is truly a “state of the art” plant, which has been listed in the top 10 of the Georgia Department of Transportation Asphalt Plant Ratings since it was erected in 1997. The Georgia Department of Transportation ratings judge over 100 plants each year across the State of Georgia. Seaboard Construction operates two asphalt paving crews, seven grading crews and five utility crews. Safety and traffic control crews back up the construction crews. Overall, Seaboard Construction has over 160 full time employees. When needed, quality grading and utility subcontractors have been utilized on projects. Our policy is to man each project with trained and experienced personnel with the necessary numbers to get the project completed on time. Seaboard Construction owns a sizable complement of equipment and vehicles which includes pavers, dozers, hoes, graders, compactors, dump trucks, lowboys, distributors, as well as, other types of vehicles and equipment. The equipment is maintained by trained mechanics in a shop equipped to accommodate the service needs of nearly all of the equipment and vehicles. The quantity of Seaboard Construction’s equipment and vehicle purchases over the years has placed Seaboard Construction as a top priority of the dealer’s service departments. Our policy is to have the appropriate equipment needed on the job in excellent working condition. Safety is the number one concern of Seaboard Construction because we are working in one of the most dangerous industries. An updated comprehensive written safety policy is given and required reading by all employees. In addition, safety schools, seminars and testing in equipment operation, traffic work zones safety, driving, trenching and underground hazards, etc. Crews are regularly scheduled for compliance, certifications and licensing. Seaboard Construction has a tailgate safety program that all crews have weekly on the project. A safety committee has been created to review safety policies, accidents and prevention procedures. Our policy is to have the safest work zone. |
